Outstanding research grants have been sanctioned to the Department by DST, UGC, DRDO, AICTE etc.

• Prof. Sudhir Kumar has been awarded DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellowship under revisit programme in 2010 (May -June). The fellowship was awarded for ”Combined experimental and theoretical study of electronic an optical properties of In based InAlN alloys” at Technical University Ilmenau, Germany (https://www.tu-ilmenau.de/universitaet/fakultaeten/fakultaet-mathematik-und-naturwissenschaften/profil/institute-und-fachgebiete/institut-fuer-physik) During the visit Prof. Sudhir Kumar had visited two different university to deliver invited talk Prof. F.Bechstedt (http://www.ifto.uni-jena.de/bechstedt/index.html) and Prof. Friedrich Reinert, University of Würzburg, Würzburg (https://www.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/ep7/team/prof-dr-friedrich-reinert/)
• Prof. Sudhir Kumar has been awarded INSA-DFG (Indian National Science Academy and German Research Foundation) fellowship to work with Prof. R. Goldhahn. The fellowship was availed between August 2013 to October 2013, for the study of ”Electronic and optical properties of metal oxides”. Prof. Sudhir Kumar has also visited Prof. Prof. Friedrich Reinert, University of Würzburg, Würzburg (https://www.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/ep7/team/prof-dr-friedrich-reinert/)
• Prof. Archana gupta visited physics Department of Federal University of Ceara, brazil from 2 to 24 September, 2011 and did experimental spectroscopic work on liquid crystals and Pharmaceutical materials.

M.J.P. Rohilkhand University has been notified as Nodal Centre of Virtual Labs, a Ministry of Human Resource Development initiative with the Participating Institution IIT Roorkee and Prof. Archana Gupta as nodal centre co-ordinator. Following virtual labs have been developed –
