Established in 1976, the Department of Sports is committed to fostering physical fitness, competitive spirit, and overall well-being among students.
The department is home to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sports Complex, a well-equipped facility that includes an indoor stadium with amenities for badminton, table tennis, boxing, and wrestling (with grappling mats),
along with a modern gymnasium, shooting. The outdoor section of the complex features a standard athletics track and dedicated courts for volleyball, basketball, Shotput,Javline throw and other games.
The Department of Sports continues to play a vital role in nurturing athletic talent and promoting a dynamic sports culture within the university.

- Provide and upgrade well-equipped, safe, and accessible sports infrastructure for training and recreational use.
- Integrate physical activity into campus life to enhance students’ health, stress management, and academic performance.
