Infrastructure Facilities:

Coping with its ever growing academic achievements and requirements, infrastructural facilities have been augmented time to time. The Department has developed a well-equipped Archaeological Section, a full-fledged Museum (Panchala Museum) with various galleries, dioramas, chemistry laboratory and a well-furnished auditorium. Apart from these, the Department has one smart classroom, two lecture theatres and office room. Audio-visual aids such as Smart Screen, LCD projector and Television are being used for classroom teaching in the Department. The Indo-Iran Studies Centre has an independent building and has infrastructure of its own. The Centre has a well-furnished Director’s office, a staff room and a lecture hall cum library with smart television and furniture.

The Department has an air conditioned library with 2000 books and journals and reading room. A temporary library assistant has been appointed to look after the library and issue books to students.

The faculty members have well-furnished rooms (four rooms with attached toilets), air conditioner, sofa set, laptop and desktop with computer table-chair, internet and inverter facilities. Staff and Guest faculties have also separate rooms equipped with desktop, scanner and computer table-chair, etc. The HOD office has a refrigerator and a photocopier machine.
