Overview

If an educational Institute performs well in all the sphere, everyone’s eyes turn towards it in appreciation and hands come together to offer help and give help, such is the case with MJP Rohilkhand University. The university takes care of all health needs of the faculty members, staff and students through its well operated University Primary Health Centre (UPHC) in the campus to help cope up with any type of the medical emergencies as well as promoting health awareness in the society.

Vision & Mission

The University Primary Health Centre has a mission of providing medical facilities to its faculties, staff and students as well as regularly performing the functions such as:

  • 1) Regular conduction of the health camp (eye camp, general health camp, hemoglobin checking camp, Covid 19 vaccination camp) for checking health status of faculties, staff and the students.
  • 2) In the view of the Covid-19 pandemic, regular Covid checking facility has been arranged.
  • 3) Promoting health awareness through its Health Camps in villages related to malaria, tuberculosis and Covid-19.
  • 4) Execution of the TB patient adoption program and providing nutritional food distribution to the TB patient in collaboration with the ZERO TB digital platform.

The vision of health centre is to convert two bed facility into 10 bed facility unit along with pathology lab and ambulance service. Beside this, health centre aims to provide internship training facilities to Pharmacy students in future. The TB sputum collection centre is also proposed.

Infrastructure

Primary Health Center has two General Wards fitted with the oxygen supply, pathology unit and the medicine dispensing unit. The facilities for First Aid, BP checking and Diabetes checking and infusion are available. The student of the pharmacy dept are involved in the dispensing of drug and in patient counseling.

Team

The Primary Health Centre is well-managed through the team of Prof P. B. Singh, DSW, Dr. Amit Kumar Verma, ADSW and Incharge- Health Centre and Mr. Sudhanshu Sharma, Nodal Officer.

Under the MOU proposed, doctors and paramedical staff from Rajshri Medical Research Institute, Bareilly are regularly visiting the centre and carrying out OPD functions.
