- ENDOCRINOLOGY LABORATORY (Prof. K.B. Singh)
This lab is conducting research on Endocrinology especially on molecular
mechanism of hormone action and is equipped with refrigerated centrifuge,
research microscope, spectrophotometer etc.
- PARASITOLOGY LABORATORY (Prof. Neelima Gupta)
This lab is engaged in research on blood and helminthes parasites, cross
transmission and host specificity; haematological, hydrobiological,
ecotoxicological and fish chromosomal studies. The lab is equipped with LEICA
DMLB photoautomat, laminar airflow, blood autoanalyzer, BOD incubator,
spectrophotometer, centrifuge, incubators, shakers water bath, colony counter,
hydro biological kit for executing the above research.
- VERMICULTURE & ENVIRON. RESEARCH LABORATORY
(Dr. S.M. Singh)
This lab is primarily working on earthworm ecology, biodiversity and
vermicomposting. A center for vermiculture and vermicomposting has beeen
developed to research, training and extension programme. This laboratory is
having sophisticated equipment like spectophotometer, flame photometer, pH
meter, electronic balance etc for soil analysis.
- AQUATIC BIOTECHNOLOGY AND FISH PATHOLOGY LABORATORY
(Dr. Yogendra Prasad)
This lab has been working on bacterial fish pathogens (virulence
characterization and Serodiagnosis), in vitroculture, immunohistochemistry; immunomodulation
through adjuvants and phage therapy in aquaculture and equipped with ELISA,
Electrophoresis, BOD incubator, Laminar air flow (v & H), Lyophilizer,
Refrigerated centrifuge etc. The out
standing attainment of the lab is the isolation of efficacious phages against
fish pathogenic bacteria (Pseudomonas and Flavobacterium) for the first
time in India
